These app-specific terms apply to FamilyTree and supplement the shared Kayzit Terms at privacy.kayzit.com/terms. If these app-specific terms differ from the shared terms, these FamilyTree-specific rules control only for FamilyTree usage.
Kayzit grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use FamilyTree on devices you own or control for lawful personal, family, archival, or internal organizational use.
FamilyTree is designed around local storage on your device. The app can export tree data to files or transfer data through QR sessions that you intentionally generate. You are responsible for where you store exported files and with whom you share QR-imported data.
When you attach images or videos to a member profile, FamilyTree may copy those files into app-managed local storage for stable profile rendering. Uninstalling the app, clearing app data, or deleting the media entry can remove locally stored copies that are not backed up elsewhere.
FamilyTree can rely on Android file pickers, camera flows for QR scanning, browser or email intents, Google Play distribution services, Firebase Analytics, and Firebase Crashlytics. Those third-party or platform services may operate under their own terms and privacy rules.
You may not use FamilyTree to infringe privacy rights, store or share material unlawfully, impersonate others, publish confidential family data without authorization, abuse QR or export features, or engage in any deceptive, harmful, or unlawful conduct.
You are responsible for maintaining backups before deleting app data or changing devices. FamilyTree may provide import, export, and transfer tools, but you remain responsible for verifying that backups or imports are complete before removing original data.
FamilyTree is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. Kayzit does not guarantee uninterrupted availability, perfect data import for every third-party format, or genealogical accuracy of user-supplied content. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Kayzit is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the app.
Kayzit may update these terms when FamilyTree changes. The latest hosted version will stay available at this URL. For FamilyTree-specific support, contact [email protected].
