LectureCue AI Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how LectureCue AI handles study materials, AI-generated flashcards and quizzes, guest sessions, and device storage.

1. Who this policy applies to

This policy applies to the Android application LectureCue AI, published by Kayzit. It covers the current app experience for creating study kits from notes, topic prompts, and PDF files, then reviewing the generated flashcards and mock tests inside the app.

2. What data the app can process

3. How your study material is used

LectureCue AI extracts and organizes your selected content so it can generate flashcards, mock tests, explanations, and related study metadata. PDF text extraction happens locally on the device first. When you choose a study action that requires AI generation, the app sends the processed text or prompt context to the configured LectureCue AI backend so the study kit can be created.

The app is designed to keep the created study kits on-device by default. You can delete a study kit locally at any time from the app.

4. Guest sessions and backend requests

LectureCue AI uses a guest session flow to request temporary access tokens before it calls the study-generation backend. These guest sessions help the backend accept authorized requests without requiring you to create a full account inside the app.

Study prompts, extracted text, language preferences, and related study metadata may be sent to the backend only when needed to complete the generation or regeneration action you requested.

5. Local storage

Generated study kits, flashcard progress, mock-test attempts, and app preferences are stored locally in the app's private storage area on your device. This includes things such as study-kit titles, quiz settings, and language preferences.

6. Permissions and files

File access

Used only when you choose a PDF to import into the app.

Network access

Used for guest authentication, study generation, quiz regeneration, and service checks.

No hidden uploads

Files are not uploaded unless a study-generation action needs the extracted study text sent to the backend.

7. Data retention

Local study data remains on your device until you delete it, clear the app data, or uninstall the app. Backend-side retention for AI request processing depends on the services used by the active study-generation infrastructure at the time of the request.

8. Children's privacy

LectureCue AI is not designed specifically for children. If local law requires parental or guardian involvement for app use, that responsibility remains with the parent or guardian.

9. Changes to this policy

Kayzit may update this Privacy Policy when LectureCue AI changes. The latest version will always be published at this URL.
